Rowers for fall 2015
on: June 27, 2015, 14:19

Greetings all,

I have a permit for a GC trip launching Oct 19, 2015. 20 days and am looking for some rowers

Outfitted by Cieba with 18 footers.

I have done the canyon before and I guess I could row it but would like to have folks who know water better than I do.

Have friends coming from New Zealand to join the trip and a few others but we are all more mountain people than river. I am a full time mountain guide so I can organize and do everything needed to get to the river but the white water experience is more limited. We are an older group and want to have fun, enjoying others company, hikes from the river and just enjoy being there. No big egos just playing it as it comes.

Anyone interested?

Hi my name is Jeff Gilman and I maybe interested in joining your grand trip. I’m an old river rat 30+ years of whitewater kayaking and rafting, 20+ years of back country winter rescue. Lots of extended trip experience Cataract, Grand, Middle, Main Salmon and class 5 kayaking from Canada to Ecuador.

I have a boat and all the gear and would like to get on the Grand with my son before he go’s off to USC for the spring semester. My son Mitch was a pro freestyle skier and could hand roll a kayak at 5. Please call me to talk so we can see if it would be a good fit.
