5.8 R 6 Mile Canyon – good late “launch day” camp – big eddy, hard to spot until you’ve passed it. Great lunch spot if you get launched from Lee’s early. You’ll see big canyon coming in from right and there will be a debris fan with lot’s of cattails and other riparian vegetation. If you are interested in camping here, you need to be pulling hard out of the current to the right. If you, or any of the other boats are mid stream, most likely you’ll miss it and have to move on. Lot’s of shade, nice sandy, some wind protected campsites, great swimming on a hot day.
